Sometimes we're up against a wall in design.
Earlier decisions are limiting forward progress.
My favorite advice in this situation:
Start Over.
Don't try to fix it.
We have learned so much.
Start clean.
It will be better than the first one.
It will be faster than the first one.
We can plan our early work knowing what's coming later.
Whether this is in design, engineering, or building a prototype Sometimes it's best to just Start Over.
I don't think of it as a failure, just iterating, improving, learning.
Thomas Edison built something like 10k prototypes of his lightbulb. Don't spend more time on one prototype design.
Build more prototypes....each one will be better!
